WIC Responder - Business Continuity

WIC Responder is a content management tool that synchronizes an organisation’s most important content with the BlackBerry® smartphone to ensure your mobile workforce is informed, and that their everyday business decisions are based upon the most up to date and accurate information. The syncronisation or mobile replication covers documents stored on the corporate network such as Microsoft Word including inline tables and images, Microsoft Excel, HTML, and image files for maps and photo's. 

Content at your fingertips - literally: Updated documents and images from behind the organization’s firewall are monitored, and updates are automatically pushed to and stored on the BlackBerry smartphone. As a result, the mobile worker is always just a click or two away from the most up-to-date information, regardless of their physical location or network coverage.

Network and memory optimization: WIC Server compresses documents to significantly smaller file sizes before wirelessly synchronizing them with the BlackBerry smartphone, which addresses the issue of limited wireless bandwidth, and allows the BlackBerry to store 100’s of documents without impacting day-to-day functions such as email, browsing, calendar, etc.

Add a mobile layer without re-inventing processes or systems: WIC Server mobilizes documents stored on the corporate network, (such as Microsoft Word including inline tables and images, Microsoft Excel, HTML, and image files), instead of creating yet another location to maintain this information.

Alert users of updated documentation: Over-ride device profile settings if required to flash and icon or force an Alarm to sound on the recipient’s smartphone to notify the user that a new document have been pushed to their BlackBerry.
